Arctic vixen, Svalbard.


Stone ridges on Kvadehuksletta, a plain located on the outermost part of the peninsula of Brøggerhalvøya on the west coast of the island of Spitsbergen in Svalbard.
      It takes its name after Kvadehuken, the outermost part of the peninsula. It is a Norwegianization of the Dutch "Quade hoek", which means bad corner.

      Skjæringa is a ridge just north of the center of Longyearbyen on Svalbard . Here is Governor farm from 1955 and the new premises of the Governor. Furthermore, the Public Construction premises and the now defunct Taubanesentralen here, as well as the premises and the main antenna station to Telenor Svalbard AS .
      The original creation of Skjæringa were Svalbard radio , which in 1930 was moved to Longyearbyen from Green Harbour further out in the Fjord . Svalbard radio was burned during World War II , but rebuilt and now houses the headquarters of Telenor Svalbard.
